Lauren and Brad are amazing. They recently helped me purchase a lakefront in Rubicon — a second home (I live in the Bay Area). However, before ever finding the place, Lauren and Brad took the time to fully educate me about Tahoe living. They helped me discover the nuances of each town / community. They helped me navigate the complicated issues surrounding property taxes and TRPA. By the time we were ready to make a offer, I really understood what I was doing. Each community and area around the Lake is so different and each has its quirks. And, importantly, they didn’t kowtow to me when I blundered into a dumb idea. Simple things like, where does the wind come from? Where does the sun rise and set? How long does the snow take to clear? Is the private beach really private, or subject to tourists nearby? Where are the best places to eat? Best stores? Time and time again, as I unpacked this process, I got to experience Tahoe in a way that deeply informed my process. Then, after finding “the place” they helped me set expectations and navigate a thorny negotiation involving a pricey home. They gave great advice and were super quick, detailed, and responsive. I don’t think I got a voicemail once. Really top-notch all around. Buying a second home in Tahoe is a complicated process. These two are really the only people I would trust for that.
